Virtual Events and Spaces

In order to insure the safety of our community, all in-person events in the law school have been canceled, postponed, or moved online until further notice.

Unfortunately, our ability to welcome outside guests into our building is limited due to the current public health crisis.  We are unable to confirm room reservations for events at this time. We understand that events are a critical part of our law school community, and we encourage all students and other members of our community to consider hosting their events online.

Limited space is available in O’Brian Hall for synchronous course study (participating in an online class), or for small group meetings hosted by our student organizations with a specific need to meet in person. You must submit a request to reserve space for these purposes.

University Health and Safety Guidelines must be followed at all times whenever space is being used in O’Brian Hall.  Remember:

  • Face coverings must be worn at all times (unless you are alone in a fully enclosed private office).
  • You must follow physical (social) distancing guidelines and remain six-feet apart.
  • The maximum number of persons allowed in each space at any time has been posted on the door to each area.
  • Eating is not permitted in any shared space in O’Brian Hall.

Students should also review the Public Health Behavior Expectations posted on the UB Student Life Gateway.

Given the evolving public health concerns, the School of Law reserves the right to adjust our room reservation policy as necessary. The situation remains fluid and we are regularly evaluating health and safety concerns.
